Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is online giving secure?
We use an organization called ServiceU to manage our online giving system. ServiceU operates at a higher level than what is required of Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance. All data is transferred and stored at the highest level of encryption possible. Calvary Assembly of God never receives any personal account information. You can verify this by clicking on the lock or key icon that is displayed in your browser when you are on our giving page. In addition, the system is tested daily by a third party authority to ensure it is "Hacker Safe."
Q: How do I give online?
Click the "Give Online" button and follow the prompts to create a profile and set up your contribution.
Q: Why give online?
- Some people prefer to use on-line giving because of the convenience. They can give their tithes and offerings when paying bills online, and don’t have to remember to bring their check with them to church.
- Some people prefer to give on-line because it allows them to give consistently, even when they're not able to attend church.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
We currently accept electronic check, or e-check. This combines the familiarity of writing a check with the convenience of online electronic processing. All you need is a checking account and the information found on the bottom of your checks.
Q: Will I still receive a contribution statement?
Yes, we will mail your giving statements directly to your home address. This statement will include all giving done online and offerings mailed, or given, at Calvary Assembly of God.
Q: Can I see what I've given in the past?
Yes. All of your online giving is recorded in your account and is accessible from the "My History" link when you're logged in to the Online Giving System. If you give by cash or check at Calvary (i.e. during a service, at the church office, etc.) it is recorded manually and will be available on your contribution statement, but not in your online history.
Q: What if nothing happens when I click on the "Give Online" button?
When you click "Give Online," a new browser window should open. If you are using a pop-up blocker such as the Google Toolbar or Norton Internet Security, the window will not open. Most tools will allow you to permit pop-ups from a specific web site.
Q: Can I schedule recurring donations?
Yes. You have many options for recurring contributions. This includes one time, weekly, twice per month, monthly, yearly, etc. Select "Set up a recurring payment (every week, month, etc)" on the Online Giving form.
Q: Can I test this by giving one time?
Yes. Unless you specify a recurring donation, your contribution will only occur once.
Q: Who do I talk to if I have more questions?Contact Calvary’s Finance Department at 419.381.0254.
